Frequently Asked Questions

Wondering about traveling at ASE? We’ve got you covered.

How early should I arrive?

We recommend that you arrive 1 ½ to 2 hours before your flight to check-in, check your baggage and pass through the Security Checkpoint.

All bags are required to be checked-in 45 minutes before departure time.

How long is the TSA line?

Times may vary. Give yourself plenty of time, especially during peak seasons.

How much does parking cost?

The Bear Lot (located just steps from the terminal entrance):

  • The first 30 minutes are free
  • The next 30 minutes at two dollars ($2)
  • The next hour at two dollars ($2);
  • Every hour from 2 hours to 12 hours will be six dollars ($6) per hour with a max of forty dollars ($40)
  • After the twelve hour time, the rate will be the daily rate of twelve dollars ($12).
  • The lost ticket fee is $75.

 

The Elk Lot (located a short walk from the baggage claim)

The Aspen/Pitkin County Airport is located off of HWY 82 across from the Aspen Airport Business Center.

ASE provides a variety of ground transportation options connecting the Airport to all local destinations. Bus service provided by RFTA is free into Aspen and Snowmass Village.
